April 2019 Newsletter | My Favorite Month

Hello Friends,

Ahhhh, April. My favorite month. The trees and flowers are blooming again. It's nice enough to drink coffee and write newsletters outside. Yay! It also happens to be my birthday month. Double yay! I'll never forget a conversation I had with my good friend Jimmy LaFave. We were eating at a 24 hour diner in south Austin and somehow the subject of birthdays came up. Jimmy asked me when my birthday was and I said "April 2nd -- same as Emmylou Harris! When's yours?" Jimmy replied, "July 12th -- same as Butch Hancock." Pretty cool, huh?

This year, on my birthday, I have something really special to share with you. I'm excited to announce Austin360 will be premiering my music video for "Depressive State" on April 2nd! Illustrator / Animator Benjamin Violet absolutely blew my mind with what he accomplished. I know y'all are gonna love it!

I absolutely love working with fantastic visual artists, which is why I'm thrilled to be working with Paige Renee Berry on a new line of Red Rescue inspired merchandise! Be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter as we announce new additions to the web store this month. Tote bags, lighters, hats, T-Shirts, and (by extreme popular demand) custom Jaimee Harris Red Rescue glasses are coming at ya soon. New Folk 'N Roll koozies (designed by Shay Scranton) are available now at the web store and at live shows.

Speaking of live shows, I want to send a HUGE "thank you" to all the great folks in Texas, Canada, NYC, Washington, D.C., and Maryland who came out to support last month. Looking forward to heading back to Texas, Florida, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Missouri for some really special shows in April.
