Hi Friend,
As you know, this is the part of the newsletter where I share a bit of personal information with you all. But, there's something more important happening in my world today that I feel compelled to share with you all.
Today is Amplify Austin Day! What does that mean?
Amplify Austin Day is a local 24-hour giving event... and it starts now! This year, I'd love for you to join me in supporting Paws in Prison. This amazing program rescues shelter dogs who are trained by womxn inmates in the Lockhart, Texas Correctional Facility. The dogs are then made available for adoption into loving homes and the womxn who participate in the Paws in Prison program are given an opportunity to earn certifications that could benefit them for job opportunities after prison release.
In 2021 the donations received for Friends of Paws in Prison on Amplify Austin Day comprised approximately 15% of their total annual budget! THAT'S WHY THE NEXT 24 HOURS REALLY MATTER.
